I am a Bristol, UK based artist who grew up in Seattle, USA, with parents who were well known potters.
I have spent a lifetime enjoying artistic endeavours including painting, mixed media, print making and my love of music making. I have participated in several exhibitions. I also trained as a classical animator and have had films shown in international festivals. As a past horse trials competitor, I now continue to enjoy the equestrian world as a qualified dressage judge, whilst developing my musical interests as a solo classical singer.
My current work has morphed out of my need to do something fun, relaxing and inventive which fits in with a busy life. I create one-off cards and artworks using low tech printing with rubber stamps: usually cutting and collaging many elements together to create an image. I often use ephemera and other junk shop finds. I also use high quality papers such as Japanese Chiyogami and hand marbled paper. I love adding text which gives a twist to the image and I enjoy creating works which express my sense of design and humour!
Please contact me on this site if you have any questions. Each card is a one off, though I can repeat images but not exactly the same backgrounds etc. Being handmade, there are variations in each card. Each card has it's own number and I have a scan of each one for future reference.
I partisipate in 3 major art trails in Bristol during the year with a large display of my cards and other collages made from ephemera. The trails are BS9, West Bristol art trail, and North Bristol art trail.
